Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board Programs and Facilities to Reopen Today Lifestyle by Twin Cities Arts Reader - July 17, 2026July 17, 2026 With air quality improving and returning to a more safe range Friday morning, most Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board outdoor programs, activities and events will resume at 11 am today. The following exceptions and adjusted opening times are in effect on July 17: Recreation centers without air conditioning will remain closed. Golf courses will open at noon. Aquatics: Beaches, pools and wading pools will open at 2 p.m. There may be some delays on wading pools. Please check our wading pool status map before heading out to your local park. MPRB will continue to monitor air quality conditions and share updates if plans change.
