PREVIEW: Twin Cities Winter Jazz Festival Arts Music by Twin Cities Arts Reader - December 19, 2015 Mother Nature may have delivered mixed signals this past month about whether or not winter is coming, but the planners for the Twin Cities Winter Jazz Festival have nevertheless locked in all of their performers. The lineups for the four festival stages at the Saint Paul Hotel are: The Ice Castle from the 2014 St. Paul Winter Carnival. Ballroom Dance 2:00 PM: Acme Jazz Company 3:30 PM: Schubert Club Hour presents Ancia Saxophone Quartet 5:00 PM: Jazz Central All Stars featuring Debbie Duncan 6:45 PM: Cyrus Chestnut with Francisco Mela and Gerald Cannon Summit Room Stage 2:00 PM: Dakota Foundation for Jazz Education Youth Showcase. 3:00 PM: John Penny Trio M Street Café Stage 4:00 PM: Patty Peterson with Dave Karr 5:30 PM: Solomon Parham with Steve Kenny Lobby Bar Lounge 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM: Joann Funk The Winter Jazz Festival is presented by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota and takes place at the Saint Paul Hotel starting at 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 31, 2016. Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door. The festival is part of the St. Paul Winter Carnival and is organized as a partner event with the Leigh Kamman Legacy Foundation, with a portion of the proceeds going to the Foundation.
