The weatherperson says that Saturday will be 60 degrees, which feels pretty close to heaven after recent chills. Still, if the early morning is a bit too chilly for you, stop over at the American Swedish Institute to catch a free reading of Jonas Hassen Khemiri’s play ≈[Almost Equal To], which premiered to sold-out audiences at the Royal Dramatic Theatre in Stockholm and was recently translated to English. The 30-minute reading is co-presented with Pillsbury House Theatre, under the direction of Elen Fenster, and is followed by a Q&A session with Khemiri. Don’t speak Swedish? Not a problem – a translator will be on hand.

Khemiri won Norway’s Hedda award for best play in 2010.

Saturday, April 30, 10:30 am-12 pm. American Swedish Institute in Minneapolis.
