PREVIEW: Twin Cities Gay Men’s Chorus – Icicle Tour Arts Music by Amy Donahue - March 3, 2025March 3, 2025 A promotional image for the Twin Cities Gay Men’s Chorus’s Out Of The Closet & Into The Burbs tour. The Twin Cities Gay Men’s Chorus (TCGMC) is hitting the road later this month, on a mission of “building community through music”. This late winter tour is specifically designed to bring TCGMC to Minnesota communities where queer visibility is less prevalent than in the Twin Cities Metro. Apple Valley: Saturday, March 15, in partnership with the Des Moines Gay Men’s Chorus New Prague: Sunday, March 16, in partnership with Con Brio from Farmington High School. The repertoire will range from classic choral to Broadway to folk music to an African American spiritual. A Celebration of Community & Inclusion TCGMC introduced the tour, stating, “In a world with increasing division driven by greed, a lack of compassion for our neighbors, and fact-based decision-making, we seek out belonging in insular, identity-based social pods – – ones that tell us that we are right, and others are wrong. Music bridges that gap. Music does not have a political agenda and does not have a vote in election processes.” “TCGMC and our partners will be using our music to build bridges between people in communities where the LGBTQ+ community is not always seen. Some of the singers are members of the LGBTQ+ community, while others are not yet who have chosen the path of compassion and love for their neighbors.” Event Details Apple Valley Date: Saturday, March 15th Time: 2:30 PM Location: Apple Valley High School, 14450 Hayes Rd, Apple Valley, MN 55124 Ticket Prices: Name Your Own Price tickets start at $15 Tickets: Available online at TCGMC’s website www.TCGMC.org New Prague Date: Sunday, March 16th Time: 2:30 PM Location: Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 1300 Main St E, New Prague, MN 56071 Ticket Prices: Free will offering split between TCGMC & Con Brio Tickets: Available at the door.
