A collage of the official show photos for the 2026 Minnesota Fringe Festival.

Trying to plan your Minnesota Fringe Festival experience and unsure of where to start? How about seeing a bunch of 3-minute show excerpts – live – before deciding to commit?

Mark your calendar for August 5 at 7:30 PM. That’s when the second of the official Minnesota Fringe Festival previews will reveal thirty companies’ most delectable minutes designed to woo you to their shows. Many a festival-goer’s carefully planned schedule has been upset by the thrill of the quick show hooks or raw charisma from the presenting artists.

Videos from the first preview night can be viewed online via YouTube. The remaining preview session takes place at the Rarig Stoll Thrust Theater (Rarig Center, University of Minnesota West Bank Campus, 330 21st Ave S Minneapolis, MN 55455), featuring 30 companies competing to win audience attention with a 3-minute teaser about their show.

Fringe fans Lauren Hance and Jeremy Motz will host the August 5 @ 7:30 PM preview.

The schedule is identical:

  • 6:30pm Box office opens
  • 7:00pm House opens
  • 7:30pm Previews begin
  • estimated run time ~90 minutes
