NEWS: Minnesota State Fair Reaches New Attendance High Dining Lifestyle by Twin Cities Arts Reader - September 3, 2019 Closing-night vehicular accident and shootings notwithstanding, the Minnesota State Fair soared to new heights in 2019. Fairgoers walked through the gates some 2,126,551 times – 3.9 percent more than 2018, which itself set records. Six of the twelve fair days set records for those days. While there was less buzz about new foods this year, the weather was perfect for most of the fair. Only one day was marred by rain, while the rest of the fair saw the mercury hovering in the 70s – perfect weather for enjoying treats hot and cold. No stick required.
